Arabic and Spanish word data

Wordwright's Arabic and Spanish word lists are ranked by the OpenSubtitles 2018 frequency lists for those languages (hermitdave/FrequencyWords), which are licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. The ranking decides which words are common enough to appear on a board, so the lists below are an adaptation of it and carry the same licence. Each puzzle pool is built by selecting words through that ranking, so it is covered too.
The eight files here are the exact bytes the app ships. They are offered under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International.
Arabic files
- ar-core.txt — band 1, 4,103 words
- ar-wide.txt — band 2, 13,339 words (a superset of band 1)
- ar-accept.txt — the acceptance list the solver checks against, 13,873 words
- pool-ar.json — every Arabic puzzle in the game, 4,000 boards plus the 10 teaching boards
Spanish files
- es-core.txt — band 1, 2,729 words
- es-wide.txt — band 2, 6,343 words (a superset of band 1)
- es-accept.txt — the acceptance list the solver checks against; for Spanish it is identical to band 2
- pool-es.json — every Spanish puzzle in the game, 2,800 boards plus the 10 teaching boards
Attribution — Arabic
Ranking: OpenSubtitles 2018 Arabic frequency list, from hermitdave/FrequencyWords, content licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. Validity and part of speech: the Ayaspell Arabic Hunspell dictionary as packaged in LibreOffice/dictionaries (GPL 2.0 / LGPL 2.1 / MPL 1.1 tri-licence; used under MPL 1.1). Words that are offensive, sectarian or not Modern Standard Arabic are removed before a list is built; that filtering is Wordwright's own.
Attribution — Spanish
Ranking: OpenSubtitles 2018 Spanish frequency list, from hermitdave/FrequencyWords, derived from the OpenSubtitles2018 corpus, content licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. Wordwright changed the material: tokens were normalised to tile spelling (accents and cedilla folded, Ñ kept), filtered against three dictionaries and a blocklist, read and selected by hand, and split into two bands at 3,000 corpus occurrences. Validity: the RLA-ES Spanish Hunspell dictionaries (es_ES, es_MX and es_AR must all accept a word) coordinated by Santiago Bosio, as packaged in LibreOffice/dictionaries (GPL 3 / LGPL 3 / MPL 1.1 tri-licence; used under MPL 1.1).

بيانات الكلمات العربية
تعتمد قوائم الكلمات العربية في «حِرفة» على قائمة تكرارات OpenSubtitles 2018 العربية المرخّصة بموجب CC BY-SA 4.0، ولذلك تُنشر القوائم الأربعة أعلاه — وهي نفس الملفات التي تشحن مع اللعبة — بالرخصة ذاتها. تُستمد صحة الكلمات وأقسامها من قاموس «أيا سبل» العربي ضمن قواميس ليبر أوفيس. أما الكلمات المسيئة أو الطائفية أو غير الفصيحة فتُحذف قبل بناء أي قائمة.
يجوز لك نسخ هذه الملفات وتعديلها وإعادة نشرها، بما في ذلك تجاريًا، شرط نسبتها إلى مصادرها أعلاه وترخيص ما تبنيه منها بالرخصة نفسها. لا يشمل هذا العرض شيفرة اللعبة ولا رسومها ولا واجهتها ولا قوائم الكلمات الإنجليزية والبرتغالية والتركية.
Datos de palabras en español
Las listas de palabras en español de Wordwright se ordenan con la lista de frecuencias OpenSubtitles 2018 en español, con licencia CC BY-SA 4.0. Por eso los cuatro archivos de arriba —los mismos bytes que incluye el juego— se publican con esa misma licencia. La validez de cada palabra proviene de los diccionarios Hunspell del proyecto RLA-ES (es_ES, es_MX y es_AR), tal como los distribuye LibreOffice.
Puedes copiar, redistribuir y adaptar estos archivos, incluso con fines comerciales, siempre que acredites las fuentes citadas y publiques lo que construyas con ellos bajo CC BY-SA 4.0. Esta oferta no incluye el código, el arte ni la interfaz del juego, ni sus listas en inglés, portugués y turco.
